Located in an old firehouse on North Capitol Street in Washington DC, Old Engine 12 was the perfect location for this couple's low key and intimate wedding.
The venue boasts two unique spaces. The upper room can be used as a ceremony space. Then as your guests enjoy a family style meal from Old Engine 12's talented chefs, the upstairs space can be flipped into a place to celebrate and dance the night away with your friends and family.
Lots of the firehouse's personality has been preserved. A spiral iron staircase and fire pole are still part of the large ceremony/reception space. Brick walls and large windows allow beautiful light in during the day and give a dramatic look after the sun goes down.
There are also outdoor patio spaces if your guests want to enjoy watching the busy city life in this quaint neighborhood.
The staff is friendly and attentive, but relaxed. Food choices are hearty and taste home cooked. The brisket is delicious and the mac and cheese will give your guests the energy to dance the night away.
